Notifications

Notification types, channels, and how to manage your preferences.

Updated 23 June 2026

Overview

ReBattery notifies you when important events happen on the platform. Notifications keep you informed about offers, deal progress, payments, and messages — without requiring you to check the dashboard constantly.

Notification Types

The platform sends notifications across these categories:

TypeWhen you receive it
OffersA buyer submits a bid, counters an offer, or accepts your offer
DealsA deal advances to a new step, requires your signature, or is completed
PaymentsPayment is confirmed, a payout is released, or a payment method fails
MessagesSomeone sends a message in a deal or support thread
SystemAccount updates, onboarding reminders, and platform announcements

Lifecycle notifications are the most time-sensitive. These include:

  • Offer accepted
  • Terms agreed and agreement ready for signing
  • Payment confirmed
  • Collection scheduled or declined
  • Deal completed and payout released
  • Recycling confirmation uploaded and WTN reminders

Channels

ReBattery delivers notifications through two channels:

Email

Email notifications are sent for key account, deal, payment, and message events, subject to your notification preferences.

Transactional emails — such as password resets or direct operational messages — are sent even if you disable promotional or lifecycle emails.

In-App

All activity is recorded in your dashboard and deal workspaces regardless of email settings. In-app notifications appear in relevant contexts: deal workspaces show step updates, conversation threads show unread counts, and the dashboard surfaces pending actions.

[!TIP] If you want fewer emails without missing anything, disable non-essential email types and check your dashboard daily. The platform records every event in-app even when email is turned off.

Managing Preferences

You can control which notifications you receive by email:

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications
  2. Toggle individual notification types on or off
  3. Changes take effect immediately

Preferences default to opt-in when no explicit choice has been made. You can re-enable any type at any time.

[!NOTE] Disabling email for a notification type stops the email delivery only. The platform continues to record the activity in-app, update unread counts, and advance deal steps normally. Your counterparty is not notified that you turned off emails.

Deal Lifecycle Notifications

Deal workflow notifications are triggered by step transitions. For example:

  • When both parties sign the agreement, the deal advances and a notification is sent
  • When payment is confirmed, both buyer and supplier are notified
  • When a recycler uploads a WTN or flags a correction, the relevant parties receive an update

Collection refusals are handled explicitly: if a party rejects a collection proposal, a dedicated collection decline notification is sent so the counterparty knows to propose a new time.

Operational and Support Notifications

Operational notifications — such as support thread updates and onboarding prompts — are sent directly and are not preference-managed in the same way as user events. Internal operations alerts are routed to the ReBattery team and do not affect your notification feed.
