Overview
Connecting eBay lets you review your eBay battery stock inside ReBattery. You choose the optional features before leaving ReBattery, then eBay asks you to approve the same permission set.
Connecting does not import or publish anything. You select listings in ReBattery, review the mapped details in the listing wizard, and decide whether to save or publish them.
Required Access
ReBattery needs two read-only permissions to connect:
- View your eBay listings — reads listing details, prices, quantities, and images so you can choose which listings to review.
- Verify your seller account — reads your eBay user ID and account type so ReBattery connects the correct supplier account.
You cannot turn these permissions off while keeping the integration connected because they provide the integration's core listing and account identity.
Optional Access
The connection dialog may offer these additional permissions:
- Edit eBay listings you approve — allows a specific listing edit only after you approve that action in ReBattery. Granting access alone changes nothing. This controlled option is available only in the approved staging environment while the editing workflow is being tested.
- Protect sold or removed listings — reads recent order and fulfilment status. When ReBattery has complete evidence that imported stock is no longer available on eBay, it can withdraw the corresponding ReBattery listing. Incomplete or uncertain evidence makes no change.
- Import seller feedback — reads your seller rating and recent feedback. ReBattery does not store provider reviewer identity fields. This option appears only when the feature is approved for use.
You can connect without any optional permission. Features that need a declined permission remain off.
What Happens When You Import
The eBay browser reads eligible battery listings. Connecting eBay itself never imports anything, and no import path publishes automatically.
When you start from Listings → New, selecting an eBay listing opens the standard new-listing wizard with mapped details. Check the battery specifications, condition, collection details, price, currency, and images before saving or publishing.
When you import from the Supplier Listings manager, ReBattery creates drafts only for the listings you explicitly select. Those drafts remain unpublished until you review and publish them.
Data and Security
ReBattery stores eBay access and refresh tokens in encrypted form. Connection tokens are never shown in the interface or included in listing data.
ReBattery uses the selected permissions only for the connected supplier account. It does not use one supplier's grant to read another supplier's data.

Change or Remove Access
Open Settings → Integrations, open the eBay actions menu, and select Manage permissions. ReBattery will show your current choices. Continuing to eBay creates a new grant with the updated permission set.
Select Disconnect eBay to remove ReBattery's stored access. You can also revoke third-party application access from your eBay account settings.
Disconnecting does not delete ReBattery listings you already saved. It stops future eBay reads and any feature that depends on the connection.
