Marketplace

Browsing listings, using filters, and understanding the public marketplace.

Updated 23 June 2026

Overview

The ReBattery marketplace is publicly browsable at /marketplace/listings. You do not need an account to view listings, filter results, or read listing details. Only registered buyers can make offers or use Buy Now.

The marketplace surfaces retired and end-of-life batteries from verified battery holders and partners. Each listing includes technical specifications, condition declarations, compliance documents, and collection logistics so you can evaluate stock before making a decision.

[!TIP] You can browse the full catalogue without signing in. Creating an account is only required when you are ready to make an offer or complete a purchase.

Filtering Listings

Use the filter bar to narrow results to batteries that match your requirements:

  • Chemistry — lithium-ion (NMC, LFP, NCA, LCO), lithium metal, lead-acid, NiMH
  • Format — Pack, Module, or Cell
  • Condition — new, functional, degraded, damaged
  • Location — filter by proximity to your site or region
  • Quantity — find batches that match your volume requirements

Filters are applied on the server and update the result set automatically. Invalid or legacy filter parameters are dropped rather than applied as partial state, so you always see a clean result set.

Reading a Listing

Each listing card shows a summary of the battery: chemistry, format, condition, location, available quantity, and pricing mode. Click any card to open the full detail page at /marketplace/[listingSlug].

The detail page is composed from four data sources:

  1. Technical specifications — chemistry, format, weight, state of health (SOH), voltage, year manufactured, original application, dimensions, cell configuration, and platform details
  2. Condition declaration — the supplier's statement of physical and functional state, including any known damage or faults
  3. Compliance documents — safety data sheets (SDS) and UN38.3 test reports where provided by the supplier
  4. Collection schedule — the days and hours the supplier can accommodate a pickup, including any site equipment requirements such as forklift access

[!NOTE] Compliance documents and collection schedules are provided by the supplier. ReBattery validates the presence of required fields but does not independently verify test reports or site conditions. Review these documents carefully before committing to a purchase.

Pricing mode

Each listing displays one of two pricing modes:

  • Buy Now — a fixed price set by the supplier. Clicking Buy Now creates a deal immediately at the listed price, skipping negotiation.
  • Make Offer — the supplier is open to negotiation. Submit your proposed price and quantity, and the supplier can accept, counter, or decline.

Taking Action on a Listing

For guests (not signed in)

You can browse, filter, and read full listing details. To make an offer or use Buy Now, you will be prompted to sign up or log in.

For registered buyers

  • Buy Now — available on fixed-price listings. Creates a deal immediately and takes you to the deal workspace to sign the agreement and submit payment.
  • Make Offer — opens a negotiation flow where you propose price and quantity. The supplier can counter, and the process continues until one side accepts or the offer expires.

[!TIP] Buy Now is the fastest path to securing stock. Use it when the price is fair and you do not need to negotiate terms. For larger or more complex lots, Make Offer lets you align on quantity, timing, and special requirements before committing.

What Happens Next

After you Buy Now or your offer is accepted, a deal is created and both parties enter the shared deal workspace. From there you review and sign the agreement, submit payment, and coordinate collection.
