Claiming an Existing Recycler Profile

ReBattery lets eligible recyclers take ownership of an existing public recycler profile using a secure claim link. Instead of creating a new account from scratch, the link associates your login with a profile already visible in the recycler directory.

This is useful for recyclers who were added to the directory during early data collection and now want to manage their own profile, respond to enquiries, and update their services.

How Claiming Works

You will receive a secure claim link by email. The process is straightforward:

  1. Click the link. If you are not signed in, you will be redirected to log in first and then returned to the claim page automatically.
  2. Verify your details. The platform confirms that the token matches the recycler profile and that your authenticated email is eligible.
  3. Complete onboarding if needed. If your account is missing any required onboarding fields, you will be guided through them before the claim finalises.
  4. Profile becomes managed. Once the claim succeeds, the profile is linked to your account and you are redirected to the recycler dashboard.

[!NOTE] Claim links are single-use. Do not forward your claim link to anyone else. If you believe a profile was claimed incorrectly, contact support.

If your claim link is invalid, expired, already used, or no longer active, contact support with your registered email address and recycler business name.

After Claiming

Once claimed, your recycler profile behaves like any other managed account. You can:

  • Update accepted battery categories and processing capabilities
  • Toggle public contact preferences
  • Receive and respond to recycling enquiries
  • Upload logo and cover images
