What is a used EV battery worth?
Five things set the price. The more of them you can tell us, the firmer the offer.
- 01
Model and chemistry
Demand varies a lot by model. LFP and NMC packs go to different buyers.
Models buyers are asking for now
- 02
State of health
A BMS read or capacity test usually lifts the price.

Intact casing, connectors and BMS
- 04
Volume
Several packs of the same model attract buyers who want repeat supply.

Collection and handoffSelling EV batteries: common questions
Last updated
Where can I sell used EV batteries in the UK?
- Here. Tell us the make, model and quantity, and we'll match them to buyers who reuse EV packs and modules, then come back with offers. We work with dismantlers, ATFs, breakers and salvage yards across the UK, Europe and the US.
Can I sell a used electric car battery?
- Yes. Complete packs and modules from electric cars, vans and buses all sell, tested or untested, including hybrid and crash-damaged packs. Buyers include repairers, second-life storage builders and module harvesters. Anything without a buyer gets recycling quotes.
How much is a used EV battery worth?
- It depends on the model, chemistry, state of health, condition, volume and location. Our UK EV battery price guide shows current asking prices by model, updated every quarter. For a real number on your packs, send us the details and we'll come back with offers.
Do you buy untested or crash-damaged batteries?
- Yes. Many buyers make offers on untested packs. For damaged packs, send photos of the casing and connectors. If testing would raise the price a lot, we'll tell you before you sell.
Do you buy hybrid batteries?
- Yes. Plug-in and full hybrid packs from BMW, Toyota, Hyundai, Kia and others.
Do I sell the batteries to ReBattery?
- No. The packs stay yours until a buyer pays. We find the buyer, manage the sale and earn a commission only when it completes.
Can you take regular volume from my yard?
- Yes. Several buyers want steady monthly supply of the same models, such as Kona and Niro 64 kWh. Tell us what you strip each month.
Do you arrange collection?
- For bulk lots and managed sales, yes: we arrange collection with carriers licensed for lithium batteries. For single packs, the buyer collects in a window you set.
What should I send to get offers?
- A photo of the pack label, the make, model and year, the quantity, the location, and a state of health or BMS read if you have one. That is enough for buyers to start bidding; missing details can follow.
What happens after I send the details?
- We check what you have and what buyers are asking for, then come back within one working day by email, WhatsApp or a call if you prefer. Offers follow from buyers who want that model.
Can used EV batteries be sold as a product rather than waste?
- Yes, when the buyer will reuse or repair them. A battery its holder discards is waste and must go to a permitted facility; a pack sold for reuse is a product sale. Decide the route before you consign anything as waste.
How and when do I get paid?
- The buyer pays ReBattery before anything ships. We release your payment once delivery is confirmed. We charge a commission only when a sale completes, with no listing fees.
What if nobody wants my battery?
- We compare quotes from licensed recyclers, so the pack still leaves your yard the right way.
Which countries do you cover?
- The UK, Europe and the US. We work with sellers and buyers in all three.
