Overview
Auctions on ReBattery are invite-only or password-gated events for battery lots. They are not open public listings. If you have received an invitation, you can access the auction data room, review lot documents, ask questions, and submit a sealed quote.
Auctions are used for larger or specialised lots where the supplier or ReBattery wants to manage interest directly and gather structured quotes from a qualified buyer pool.
[!WARNING] Auction access is tied to your invite. Do not share your personal invite link or access code with others. If colleagues need access, contact the auction organiser or ReBattery support so separate invites can be issued under the correct company record.
Getting Access
You can access an auction in one of two ways:
1. Invite email
ReBattery sends auction invites by email. The email contains:
- A personal invite link to the auction access page which authenticates you automatically
- A 6-digit shareable access code that can be used on the auction access page directly
- Lot details, collection point, and the quote deadline
Clicking the invite link verifies your access and takes you to the auction page.
2. Access code
If you already have a 6-digit access code but did not use the email link, visit the auction access page directly and enter the code. The system verifies the code and grants access to the auction page.
[!NOTE] Each access code is tied to a single invite record. Codes cannot be reused across auctions, and expired or opted-out invites will not grant access.
The Auction Page
Once authenticated, the auction page shows:
- Lot details — chemistry, format, quantity, condition summary, and asset label
- Data room documents — technical specifications, test reports, photos, and any supplementary documents provided by the supplier or ReBattery
- Questions — a public Q&A section where invited buyers can ask questions and view answers from the organiser
- Quote submission — a form to enter your bid amount and any notes
The page also shows anonymised quote activity (for example, how many quotes have been submitted) so you can gauge interest without seeing competitor amounts.
[!TIP] Review the data room documents before submitting your quote. Ask questions early if anything is unclear — answers are visible to all invited buyers, so you benefit from questions raised by others.
Submitting a Quote
ReBattery auctions use a sealed quote model, not a real-time bidding war. You submit a single quote by the deadline, and the organiser reviews all quotes after the auction closes.
When submitting a quote, you provide:
- Quote amount — your total bid for the lot
- Quote notes — optional context such as collection timing, splitting preferences, or commercial terms
- Site visit request — indicate if you would like to inspect the lot in person before finalising
After submission, your quote is recorded and tracked. You cannot edit a submitted quote through the platform; if you need to change your bid before the deadline, contact the auction organiser directly.
[!WARNING] Do not share your quote amount with other invited buyers. The sealed model depends on independent bids. If ReBattery detects collusion or suspicious patterns, all related quotes may be disqualified.
Analytics and Tracking
Auction organisers use analytics to understand engagement and improve future events. ReBattery tracks:
- Invite opens and page views
- Quote submissions and amounts (visible only to the organiser)
- Question submissions and answer rates
Tracking is scoped to the invite record and is used for operational and product improvement purposes only.
Opting Out
Every auction email includes a link to opt out of the ReBattery buyer network. If you opt out:
- You will no longer receive auction invites or buyer-network communications
- Existing auction access is not revoked, but future invites will not be sent
- You can rejoin the buyer network later by contacting ReBattery support
Use the opt-out link in any auction email if you no longer wish to receive opportunities.
