Reference
We list four C-HR hybrid batteries: the 1.8 nickel-metal hydride pack of 2016 to 2019, the 2.0 nickel-metal hydride pack and the facelifted 1.8 lithium-ion pack of late 2019 to 2023, and the lithium-ion pack of the C-HR from 2024. Tell them apart by the engine, the year and the chemistry on the label.
1.8 litre, 2016 to 2019
The Toyota C-HR 1.8 NiMH battery is the nickel-metal hydride pack of the first C-HR 1.8 hybrid, from 2016 to the 2019 facelift, when a smaller, lighter lithium-ion battery replaced it.
Built into
2.0 litre, 2019 to 2023
The Toyota C-HR 2.0 NiMH battery is the nickel-metal hydride pack of the C-HR 2.0 hybrid from late 2019 to 2023.
Built into
1.8 facelift, 2019 to 2023
The Toyota C-HR 1.8 Li-ion battery is the lithium-ion pack Toyota UK gives for the facelifted C-HR 1.8 hybrid from late 2019 to 2023, smaller and lighter than the NiMH battery before it.
Built into
Second generation, 2024 on
The Toyota C-HR Li-ion battery from 2024 is the lithium-ion pack of the second-generation C-HR 1.8 and 2.0 hybrids. The C-HR Plug-in has a separate, larger battery.

Questions
Still unsure which pack is right? A specialist can check fitment with you.
Talk to a specialistCheck the engine and the year. The 1.8 from 2016 to 2019 has a nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) battery. The facelifted 1.8 from late 2019 to 2023 has a smaller, lighter lithium-ion battery in UK cars; for other markets sources disagree. The 2.0 from late 2019 to 2023 has a NiMH battery. The second-generation C-HR from 2024 has lithium-ion batteries in both the 1.8 and the 2.0.
No. The C-HR Plug-in from 2024 has a separate, much larger 13.6 kWh lithium-ion battery. It is not one of the hybrid batteries on these pages.
Toyota C-HR Hybrid packs with a fixed price on ReBattery are listed from £249 (1.8 Li-ion) to £1,400 (1.8 Li-ion) right now. The price depends on condition and measured health, and some sellers take offers instead. Fitting by an EV garage costs extra.
