The 59 kWh MEB battery replaced the 58 kWh pack in the ID.3 Pro from 2024. It is 63 kWh gross and 59 kWh usable. The Cupra Born 60 kWh, also 63 kWh gross, probably has the same pack.
Note: Sources disagree on the usable figure: VW gives 59 kWh for the ID.3, Cupra 60 kWh for the Born. Both give 63 kWh gross.
Each fact is confirmed by two independent sources: VW Group press material (VW, Skoda, Audi and Cupra count as one source), plus electrive, InsideEVs, CleanTechnica, Green Car Reports, Autocar and other motoring press. Facts we could not confirm twice are left out.
