Reference
We list three Renault E-Tech full hybrid batteries: 1.2 kWh in the 1.6-litre E-Tech 140 and 145, 1.4 kWh in the 1.8-litre E-Tech 160 from 2025, and a 400 V pack in the 200 hp Austral, Espace and Rafale. Tell them apart by the engine size, the power and the year.
E-Tech 140/145, 1.6 litre
The Renault E-Tech 1.2 kWh battery is the lithium-ion pack of the 1.6-litre E-Tech 140 and 145 full hybrids, built from Vehicle Energy Japan modules and fitted under the rear floor of the Clio.
Built into
E-Tech 160, 1.8 litre, from 2025
The Renault E-Tech 1.4 kWh battery is the pack of the 1.8-litre E-Tech 160 full hybrid from 2025, which replaced the 1.2 kWh pack of the 1.6-litre cars.
Built into

Questions
Still unsure which pack is right? A specialist can check fitment with you.
Talk to a specialistCheck the engine size and the year. A 1.6-litre E-Tech 140 or 145 (Clio from 2020, Captur and Arkana from 2021, Symbioz 145, Dacia Hybrid 140) has the 1.2 kWh pack. A 1.8-litre E-Tech 160 from 2025 (Captur, Symbioz, the new Clio, Dacia Hybrid 155) has the 1.4 kWh pack. The 200 hp Austral, Espace and Rafale have the 400 V pack. Send us a photo of the label and we will check.
Not the 1.2 kWh battery of the 1.6-litre E-Tech 140 and 145: Renault's rescue sheets and Automobile Propre both give lithium-ion for it. For the 1.4 kWh and 400 V packs we found no second source on the chemistry, so check the label.
No. The Captur E-Tech Plug-in has a 9.8 kWh, 400 V lithium-ion pack. It is a different battery from the full hybrid packs on these pages.
Renault Clio E-Tech hybrid packs with a fixed price on ReBattery are listed from £374 (1.4 kWh) to £2,886 (1.2 kWh) right now. The price depends on condition and measured health, and some sellers take offers instead. Fitting by an EV garage costs extra.
You have 7–14 business days to inspect it. Raise it with evidence and the seller is not paid until it is resolved.
