Reference
The 82 kWh pack replaced the 78 kWh pack in the Polestar 2 Long range from mid-2023 and in the Volvo Twin Motor from 2023. It is 82 kWh gross, about 78 to 79 kWh usable, and charges at up to 200 to 205 kW DC.
Note: Sources disagree on the usable figure: ADAC gives 78 kWh for the Polestar 2 and 79 kWh for Volvo; electrive and CleanTechnica give 79 kWh for the Polestar 2.
Note: No source says the Volvo and Polestar 82 kWh packs are the same part. Check the label.
Each fact is confirmed by two independent sources: Polestar and Volvo manuals, rescue guides and press material (counted as one source), plus ADAC, electrive, InsideEVs, CleanTechnica and Electrifying.com. Facts we could not confirm twice are left out. Checked . Sources

82 kWh is the gross figure. Sources disagree on the usable figure: ADAC gives 78 kWh for the Polestar 2 and 79 kWh for Volvo; electrive and CleanTechnica give 79 kWh for the Polestar 2. A listing at 79 kWh is this pack; one at 78 kWh may be this pack or the 78 kWh pack, so check the year.
Not confirmed. Both are 82 kWh gross and charge at up to 200 to 205 kW, but no source says they are the same part. Check the label.
Check the model year, the motor and the market on the car's documents, then the label on the pack. Send us a photo of the label and we will check.
