Questions
Still unsure which pack is right? A specialist can check fitment with you.
Talk to a specialistThey came with the same battery sizes, 39.2 and 64 kWh, but with cells from different makers (LG for the Kona, SK Innovation for the e-Niro). No source confirms the packs are interchangeable, so check the label.
It may have been. In 2020 Hyundai recalled Kona Electrics to update the battery software. In 2021 it replaced the battery systems in 81,701 vehicles, including 75,680 Kona Electrics, whose cells came from LG Energy Solution's plant in Nanjing, China. In the US that recall covered 2019 and 2020 Kona Electrics. A pack may be the original or a replacement, so ask the seller for the car's VIN and its recall status.
Check the car's model, year and kWh on its documents, then the label on the pack. Send us a photo of the label and we will check.
You have 7–14 business days to inspect it. Raise it with evidence and the seller is not paid until it is resolved.
