Reference
The MG4 51 kWh battery is the Standard Range pack in cars from 2022 to 2025: LFP chemistry in the 110 mm thin MSP One Pack, with the 125 kW motor.
Note: Some 2026 sources call the smallest MG4 pack 49 kWh. Sources disagree whether that is this pack, so check the label.
Each fact is confirmed by two independent sources: MG UK press releases (one source), plus electrive, InsideEVs, Autocar, Auto Express, DrivingElectric, Electrifying, CarExpert, CarsGuide, CnEVPost and Motoring Research. Facts we could not confirm twice are left out. Checked . Sources
Questions
Still unsure which pack is right? A specialist can check fitment with you.
Talk to a specialistCheck the badge or trim, the motor power and the year. A Standard Range from 2022 to 2025 with the 125 kW motor has the 51 kWh LFP pack. A Long Range from 2022 to 2025 with the 150 kW motor, and every XPOWER, has the 64 kWh NMC pack. An Extended Range, from 2023, has the 77 kWh NMC pack. A Long Range from the 2026 update has a new 64 kWh LFP pack with a 140 kW motor, so check the year and the label. Send us a photo of the label and we will check.
The one MG4 51 kWh pack with a fixed price on ReBattery is listed at £1,250 right now. The price depends on condition and measured health, and some sellers take offers instead. Fitting by an EV garage costs extra.
Not as far as we can confirm. Both are about 51 kWh and LFP, but the MG4 was designed as an electric car from the start, with a 110 mm thin pack, while the ZS EV is based on the petrol ZS. Check the label.
Check the badge and motor power on the car's documents, then the label on the pack. Send us a photo of the label and we will check.
