MG4 battery sizes
We list three MG4 battery sizes: 51 kWh LFP in the Standard Range, 64 kWh NMC in the 2022 to 2025 Long Range and the XPOWER, and 77 kWh NMC in the Extended Range. The 51 and 64 kWh packs sit in the 110 mm thin MSP One Pack. The MG4 is sold in China as the MG Mulan. A 2026 Long Range has a new 64 kWh LFP pack, so check the year. The MG4 EV Urban is a different car.

Talk to a specialistCheck the badge or trim, the motor power and the year. A Standard Range from 2022 to 2025 with the 125 kW motor has the 51 kWh LFP pack. A Long Range from 2022 to 2025 with the 150 kW motor, and every XPOWER, has the 64 kWh NMC pack. An Extended Range, from 2023, has the 77 kWh NMC pack. A Long Range from the 2026 update has a new 64 kWh LFP pack with a 140 kW motor, so check the year and the label. Send us a photo of the label and we will check.
No. The MG4 EV Urban is a second-generation MG4 on a new SAIC platform, with a cell-to-body battery of 43 or 54 kWh. The MG4 on this page uses the 110 mm MSP One Pack.
