Reference
The Jaguar I-Pace 90 kWh battery is the one pack every I-Pace EV400 built from 2018 to 2024 had: 90 kWh gross and 84.7 kWh usable, 432 NMC pouch cells from LG Chem in 36 modules, liquid-cooled.
Note: Sources disagree slightly on the gross figure: Jaguar gives 90 kWh, ADAC 90.2 kWh. Both give 84.7 kWh usable.
Each fact is confirmed by two independent sources: JLR press material, data sheets and recall filings (one source), plus ADAC, InsideEVs, CleanTechnica, SAE, Autocar, Carscoops, The Driven, autoevolution and CarComplaints. Facts we could not confirm twice are left out. Checked . Sources
Questions
Still unsure which pack is right? A specialist can check fitment with you.
Talk to a specialistYes, in size and build: every I-Pace EV400 built from 2018 to 2024 has the same 90 kWh pack of 432 LG pouch cells. The recall history differs by build date, so ask for the VIN and the recall records.
Jaguar I-Pace 90 kWh packs with a fixed price on ReBattery are listed at £4,125 right now. The price depends on condition and measured health, and some sellers take offers instead. Fitting by an EV garage costs extra.
Yes, in the US, several times. June 2023: 6,367 cars of the 2019 to 2024 model years got battery software that limits charge to 75% when it detects a risk, with modules or the whole pack replaced if needed. March 2024: packs with cells made on or before 31 May 2018 are replaced with a new pack. Later in 2024: 2,760 cars of the 2019 model year were limited to 80% charge, and in November Jaguar announced it would buy them back. February 2026: 2,278 cars of the 2020 and 2021 model years were limited to 90% charge. These are US campaigns; a UK buy-back is not confirmed. Ask the seller for the car's VIN and which recalls were done.
Yes. 90 kWh is the total (gross) capacity and 84.7 kWh the usable capacity of the same pack.
