Universal Recycling Technologies (URT) is an electronic waste and lamp recycler that handles batteries at its facilities in Janesville, Wisconsin; Clackamas, Oregon; and Fort Worth, Texas. It takes lithium-ion, lead-acid and dry-cell batteries, sorts them by type, packs them in drums and stores them before transport to their final recycling destination. Dry-cell batteries are also accepted through WasteSecure mail-back kits.
